Right now all of the automakers are chasing autonomous driving. That's no surprise to anyone. And it's definitely not a surprise to technology companies who are running with the same ideas in parallel.

While we're sure that's what Nissan will be bringing to the Tokyo Motor Show on October 25, there's also something else going on here — at least that's our thoughts.

Teased via a YouTube clip, Nissan put together a video touting its intelligent mobility initiative. But, if you notice in the teaser, the vehicle's outline and blue accept appears to be that of a sport-utility vehicle. 

Check out its ground clearance and larger proportions especially in the rear door/rear window.

Nissan will show a number of exciting concept cars and production vehicles at this year’s Tokyo Motor Show, giving customers a glimpse of the company’s newest and future innovations.

The 45th Tokyo Motor Show, held at Tokyo Big Sight, is open to the public from Oct. 27 to Nov. 5. Press days are Oct. 25-26.

The Nissan booth, in East Hall 5, will feature a “spiral” design theme symbolizing the company’s past, present and future commitment to making exciting products.

A simulator will let visitors experience the future of Nissan Intelligent Mobility.
